AEM Universal EMS ECU

You have spent thousands of dollars modifying your car from cold air intakes to exhausts and everything in between.  You will not see your car’s full potential leaving its computer as-is.

The factory computer system is set up to monitor the engines fuel/air ratio as a stock non-mod car.  When you highly modify your car you really need a way to reprogram the Engine Management System (ECU) on the go whether you need boost control, drive Ignition, Idle control or Fuel/Air mixture control.

Widow Racing recommends the AEM Universal EMS ECU.  This system adapts to any vehicle.

The success of our Plug & Play EMS program created a demand for a universal unit, and AEM is proud to release its Universal Programmable EMS. AEM Universal Programmable Engine Management System adapts to any vehicle using the company flying lead wiring harness and sensors (sold separately). We are confident that this is the most versatile, powerful, and comprehensive universal engine management program available.

In addition the features found in our Plug & Play EMS, AEM Universal EMS also includes 10 independent, built-in peak & hold injector driver channels, direct drive ignition and dual wideband UEGO controllers. Peak & Hold injector drivers enable users to utilize low impedance injectors with a true 4/1 Peak & Hold injector drive circuit. The Direct Drive ignition feature allows users to drive a coil directly from the ECU without the need for an igniter or ignition module. A wideband UEGO controller is an essential tuning tool that provides a 0-5 signal for monitoring and tuning air/fuel ratios (AFR) on heavily modified high-performance engines.
